ASCII Space Game is a tribute to the earliest computer and console games in which graphics were represented by text characters (ASCII). In this game you explore a procedurally generated universe in which planets, asteroids, enemy ships and even your own spaceship are represented by characters such as @, > or # are displayed. The gameplay often combines Resource management, Trade and tactical battle. You must manage fuel, ammunition and survival supplies, land on uncharted planets and escape enemy ships in turn-based or real-time text battles. The simplicity of the graphics hides an immense strategic depth and a complex system of interactions and consequences.
